What I Will NOT Do in the New Year
CAN YOU BELIEVE IT!?
ANOTHER YEAR has come to an end.
I’m still working on this years resolutions…
Are you in the same boat??
As we know, with a new year comes….you guessed it, resolutions:
a beach body.
I've never been one to make a new year's resolution. I believe in goal setting and if I'm dissatisfied with my lifestyle, I makes changes sooner rather than later.
Having said that, I've created a list of 5 things I will NOT do in the New Year:
I believe in being more aware of a healthier lifestyle: healthier eating habits, A fitness regimen, dusting off the old food pyramid and an occasional mini-hiatus (because, sometimes you just need one.) Moderation is key, here.
SPEAK LIFE! There is enough negative energy daily around the world. I would much rather spend time making the world a little brighter than contributing to a toxic environment. God calls us to live in peace with everybody, let’s exercise that scripture verse.
GUILTY! I have fallen victim to this trap. From marriage to motherhood to finances...it is a thief of joy! It diminishes faith and comes from all life angles. But Jesus….The Lord asks, "why do you have little faith..."
So don't worry about these things, saying, 'What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?' These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need. (NLT) - Matthew 6:31-33
MY FAVORITE VERSE
Another thief of joy. Other opinions are irrelevant. No one story is identical to another. YOU know who you are in Christ. Period. Keep running in your lane, sister! Hopping lanes are off limits.
With four (very) active boys, I make every effort to have my still moments with God. These are absolutely necessary because: 1.) we must keep our sanity or we become another version on HANGRY - uh, hello crazy lady! And 2.) in the still, we can truly experience the Holy Spirit’s most intimate whispered promises. Thank you, Jesus.
TELL ME, WHAT ARE YOU DOING DIFFERENTLY IN THE NEW YEAR??
DO YOU BELIEVE IN NEW YEARS RESOLUTIONS?
