Why Every Woman Needs an Anthem

"{It is} by God's grace, I am becoming a woman of courage, a women of strength, a woman of self-discipline. A woman of diligence. A woman of wisdom and discernment, a woman of compassion, a woman of beauty - true beauty - the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit.

A woman who loves much, because she has been forgiven much. A woman who takes refuge in God alone. A woman of valor who does not run from the battle but to it, fearlessly, relentlessly determined - through her obedience - to defeat the enemy and bring victory to herself and her people, to the glory of God and His eternal kingdom."

- Christin Ditchfield

I'm almost certain there was a mic drop after she spoke these words that I call, A Woman's Anthem.

I mean what a profound statement of discipline, prestige, respect and confidence. She is empowered by God's Grace and lives a fruitful life and to me, thats a worthy life.

How about you?

Do you carry yourself in such a way?

I'd be lying to you if I said I don't struggle with 100% of what's mentioned in her life declaration but can I share something with you...it is SO important to be supported by individuals who are ready to uplift, encourage and cheer you on!

YES! Tribes are EVERYWHERE!

Ans speaking of, I had the privilege of rubbing elbows at a  "mom's night out" along with many other rad mamas.

At the event, there was a guest panel of some of the sweetest women I had the pleasure of meeting: Mrs. Measom, Rebecca Smith, and Sarah Schneider.

They spoke all things from photography to giving grace (AND LOTS OF IT) to work-life balance. Some of my favorite advice they shared was:

  • Give Yourself Grace. It's ok to be afraid and not have all your ducks in a row. Laugh at the curve balls life throws you and handle them with grace.

  • Whatever you do, do with purpose. Do it well and with passion. Whatever it may be, do it wholeheartedly.

  • Be Present. In order to be thee best version of yourself, presence is paramount. There is nothing more valuable than spending time on something or someone because those minutes, days, years cannot relived.

Whether you are a slow-n-steady mover or gotta-go gotta-go right now! speedster, it is your life. What truly matters is that you are loving on that person in the mirror, daily.

In order to give love, it must come from within. No one can give away what they don't have for themselves.

Do you have affirmation or scripture verse you speak daily? If not, time to start brainstorming!!
