Speak Victory

"May our hearts be resilient and never weary in well doing. May we understand with, with every step we take, that God is for us and will never leave us or forsake us. May we be wise, and be willing to seek God in newfound ways. May our faith grow bigger and wider than our expectations ever thought it could go. May we expect the enemy before he comes, and may God charge our spirits to be strong and fearless. May we speak to our mountains, and truly believe they can move and they do so. May the doors of our purpose and promise be opened. May  we represent God in our storms instead of letting our storms represent God. May we fight with our faith. It is so and so it is." AMEN! -Cora Jakes-Coleman

What an incredible reminder to His followers: to remain uniform and patient in our hearts, behavior, words and our minds. Over the weekend, my mom and I were discussing one of Priscilla Shirer's bible studies. She spoke of God being omniscient (knowing all), including our thoughts; however, Satan only knows what is spoken. He does not have the authority to know our thoughts. Growing up, my mom would remind us, "you have what you say." In the bible, scripture says "the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts...the tongue is also a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole body, sets the whole course of our life..." James 3:5-6  We can only be responsible for our own actions. We can choose to speak truth, life, and His word that is "..alive and active, sharper than any double-edged sword..." Hebrews 4:12 His word teaches us to be slow to anger because, how destructive our words can be towards our peers. His testament proves how powerful and mighty words can be, so we must be slow to speak and wise.

What you speak is what Satan hears and to speak victory, we are merely charging our spirits for the storm!
